Hales Effect | JSEM
Q#1. How can Hales Effect be defined?
Ans1. Hales Effect can be defined as the gap between dissemination and reception of knowledge.
Q#2. How was it hypothesized? Could you please hightlight the backdrop of its coming into being?
Ans2. Hales Effect was observed by an aero engineering student in a classroom at LUT, England, UK. It was named after Prof Hales, a scholar of Surface Technology, a veteran of high intellectual prominence.
His delivery would be perfect for a conference where the audience would be scientists or engineers. But here he had a classroom full of engineering students whom he took for geniuses. He viewed them of superior calibre. But unfortunately, they were not. They needed every step to be clearly explained -- Prof Hales missed two or three unnecessary steps to drive home his point.
The student union was forced by the student body to replace Prof Hales with someone of lesser rank and dignity. This student, who hypothesized Hales Effect, held himself responsible for the untoward incident. It was his nodding that gave Prof Hales the impression the whole class was enjoying the delivery. Poor Prof Hales, pressed on happily with a smiling face teaching great people.
Q#3. What is the status quo of Hales Effect in the twentyfirst century?
Ans3. Hales Effect (not to be confused with Hall Effect) share some common properties with Hall Effect. But how they are uncommon is that Hales Effect live amongst us -- the human machines possessing souls whilst Hall Effect live in the AI world -- entities that are devoid of souls. This is how 'Man vs Machines' is getting written.
Further observation and experiments on this issue of classroom discrepancies opened up a whole frontier of Hales Effect Syndrome dominating not just the classroom, but the human arena -- the whole world.
Boeing 737 Max8 crash may be cited as an example of Hales Effect, a miscommunication between pilots and machines. There were embedded systems added to Max8 to correct the undesirable pitch up attitude of the aircraft at full thrust.
Pilots, on two occasions, could not override the systems because they were not fully informed or trained about the evil consequences it might play. Hales Effect can never be eradicated; but it may be detected in good time if JSEM is employed; well, it may be minimized. Or else, Hales Effect Syndrome shall persist till the doomsday eliminating the human kind from the face of the earth.
Hales Effect may be traced in human pride, sadness, fear, anger, greed -- all these emotions get miscontrued into negative impulses.Humans are arrogant; humans hide their weaknesses. Historically, the humans, in general, have been protecting the very cultures that have caused the destruction of their ancestors.
Q#4. Is there no way out to save the humanity from Hales Effect?
Ans4. JSEM, is a probable solution to this curse. It acts like a Hall (effect) sensor also called Hall sensor; like the Hall sensor, we have the Hales Sensor or the JSEM Sensor.
